Cherubini and artistic-musical research
The “Luigi Cherubini” Conservatory of Music in Florence promotes and supports research in the artistic-musical field, recognizing its centrality for the development and deepening of knowledge. A plurality of methodological approaches are encouraged and declined in various initiatives, starting from the two distinct Doctorate programs – MUSART and ATP – launched starting from the 2024/2025 academic year.
The Conservatory boasts the WARM project – Musical Artistic Research Workshop, born in September 2015, as one of the first initiatives to promote artistic research. WARM is an initiative promoted and developed in collaboration with the Verdi Conservatory of Milan and the Orpheus Instituut of Ghent. The workshops have a laboratory aspect, in which to discuss, deepen and remodulate the projects presented, under the guidance of external teachers and tutors, in a collective work aimed at developing the ability to reflect and formulate projects and applications for doctoral courses.
