The page consists of two sections:
the first is dedicated to the pre-selection procedures for singing courses only (three-year, two-year and Young Talents).
the second contains all the information to which both the candidates found suitable for the pre-selection phase of the singing courses and the candidates who intend to take the entrance exam for all the other courses (three-year, two-year and Young Talents) will refer.

PRESELECTIVE TEST WITH SENDING VIDEOS THAT WILL BE EXAMINED BY THE COMMISSION.
ONLY THOSE ELIGIBLE FOR PRE-SELECTION WILL ACCESS THE IN-PRESENT PERFORMANCE TEST.

The “Luigi Cherubini” Conservatory for the academic year 2026-27 and limited to the SINGING Courses (Three-year, Two-year and Young Talents) will proceed to carry out a pre-selective test which involves the sending of audio-video material by the candidates. Passing the pre-selective test will allow access to the in-person performance test, according to the timing established by the Director’s Decree, which can be viewed AT THIS LINK, which should be read very carefully.
PLEASE NOTE: there is a typo in the Decree: In the art. 4, paragraph 1, point b, the title must be read: b) First level diploma (THREE-YEAR PERIOD)

IMPORTANT:

The Conservatory does not provide a quota of places reserved for “Turandot” students, who will participate in the selection procedure without reservation of places in case of suitability for enrollment.

PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION FOR THE PRESELECTIVE TEST AND FOR SENDING THE VIDEO:

1) it is necessary to REGISTER in advance on the Cineca-Esse3 platform, following the instructions.

NOTE: students enrolled at the Conservatory of Florence, being already registered on the Cineca-Esse3 platform, will access the “Admission Exams” section from the MENU > SEGRETERIA of their reserved area. Students who have obtained qualifications or who have careers closed at the Cherubini Conservatory before the academic year. 2022-23 must contact the relevant secretariat (didattica3@consfi.it) to receive the access credentials.

At the end of the registration procedure, the access credentials (username and password) will be displayed on the screen to be saved and used in the subsequent steps useful for registering for the entrance exam. After a few minutes, the system will automatically send an email confirming registration.

2) Procedure for completing the online form (online application): access the Cineca-Esse3 digital platform again by following the link:

click at the top right on MENU > LOGIN > Segreteria > Esami di Ammissione

IMPORTANT: Carefully follow the instructions provided on the screen until the procedure is completed, which can be interrupted and resumed at any time by logging in again.

During the registration process, candidates will be asked to insert a PDF containing the link to the video. The video must be produced scrupulously following the instructions contained in article 4 of the Director’s Decree, reported above.

Please note that the procedure will be definitively completed only after payment of the admission fee of €80.00.

“Young Talents”

The “Luigi Cherubini” Conservatory of Music in Florence establishes the training course aimed at “Young Talents” aimed at enhancing and promoting the academic training of young students (for singing courses: who are 17 years of age or turning 17 as of 31/12/2026) enrolled in a secondary school who, having not yet obtained the upper secondary school diploma necessary for access to academic courses, are equipped with particular and aptitudes, adequate musical qualities and acquired and verified technical preparation equal to or greater than the minimum requirements required for access to first level academic courses (three-year period).

Therefore, candidates who believe they possess the aforementioned characteristics must complete the online form requesting access to the three-year admission exam, subsequently indicating the “Young Talents” student type.

IMPORTANT!
Candidates found suitable for the pre-selective test are admitted to the in-person test and must present the entire programme, as specified on the website https://www.consfi.it/corsi/canto/ in the Singing Courses section, respectively for the first and second level courses. From that moment on they will have to refer, for the timing and subsequent procedures, to what is contained in the section below “Timing and procedures of all the Courses (Three-year, Two-year and Young Talents)”

Even those who hold the B2 level certification obtained from accredited certification bodies will have to take the Italian language proficiency test.
The test will take place in remote mode. Details will be published later.
Participation in the test is considered mandatory.

Sending the communication to international students who were not found eligible for the Italian language proficiency test, who will be obliged to attend a specific course organized by the Conservatory.

** First test

The first test will take place exclusively in person.
IMPORTANT: The Conservatory does not provide an accompanying pianist.

*** Second test

The second test is an integral part of the entrance exam for the three-year period.
Only candidates from the three-year period who are eligible for the first test and are regularly enrolled are admitted to the second test. The second test will take place exclusively in person.
The Second test consists of a skills test on one or more of the following basic disciplines:

1) Theory, Rhythm and Musical Perception;
2) Theories and Techniques of Harmony;
3) History of Music;
4) Piano practice.

– Exemptions from the second test:
When completing the registration form for the Entrance Exam, certifications may be produced which, if possessed, will give the right to exemption from one or more tests.

Candidates who have not passed one or more tests will be awarded the relevant O.F.A. (Additional Training Obligations).
Candidates absent from the second test who have produced suitable justification (illness or absolute impossibility to be present on the established dates, sending the documentation to the relevant Secretariats) will take the Second test on another date.
Candidates who are absent without justification will be awarded O.F.A. of office.

Young Talents

The “Luigi Cherubini” Conservatory of Music in Florence establishes the training course aimed at “Young Talents” aimed at enhancing and promoting the academic training of young students (who are at least 15 years old as of 31/12/2026) enrolled in a secondary school who, having not yet obtained the upper secondary school diploma necessary for access to academic courses, are endowed with particular and strong aptitudes, adequate musical qualities and acquired and verified technical preparation equal to or greater than the minimum requirements required for access to first level academic courses.

In the event of admission, it is specified that newly enrolled students will be included in the first year of part-time attendance at the Three-Year Course, according to the provisions of the “Regolamento dei Corsi per Giovani Talenti”, which can be viewed here: https://www.consfi.it/statuto-e-regolamenti/ which we recommend carefully reading.

Therefore, candidates who believe they possess the aforementioned characteristics must complete the online form requesting access to the three-year admission exam, subsequently indicating the “Young Talents” student type.
