Mission and Vision
MISSION
The institutional mission of the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory of Music of Florence is expressed in the following objectives:
– Train, according to high didactic and pedagogical standards, musicians in possession of professional level artistic and instrumental skills (through the activation of First Level Academic Diploma courses, Second Level Academic Diploma, Doctorate Courses, Masterclasses with internationally renowned artists).
– Carry out development and dissemination of musical talent in the area.
– Carry out musical production activities, research and dissemination activities of musical culture in the area (Third Mission).
– In addition to the qualitative training offer, the Conservatory intends to intensely enhance the objectives of inserting students into the professional panorama.
– Intensify the role of production center of Higher Artistic and Musical Education within the city, provincial, national and international panorama (encouraging the network of connections and active agreements with the numerous Schools and Bodies in the area).
– Consolidate the international dimension through the implementation of memoranda of understanding with European and non-European foreign institutions, with participation in international collaboration projects and partnerships in the context of Erasmus+ international relations.
VISION
The Luigi Cherubini Conservatory of Music acts as a lever of excellence for the professional preparation of future musicians and future teachers also through orientation towards the world of school, with which it connects and compares. The institution takes into account local and third sector educational and artistic excellence, contributing significantly to their implementation, acting in this sense as a creator of culture and impact on the future of tomorrow’s citizen.
Given the high number of courses offered, the student has a broader vision of the existing musical panorama so as to be able to make an informed choice that allows him to achieve the set objectives.
The Conservatory of Florence organizes a large number of concerts, masterclasses and music festivals, creating a strong synergy between students and teachers.
On an international level, the Conservatory has numerous collaborations with institutions of higher musical and artistic education in China with the aim of expanding the opportunities of its students and implementing its know-how.
